Melanie and Kyle’s Key West Wedding was held in July 2014 at the gorgeous Hyatt Key West Resort & Spa, a waterfront retreat located on the Gulf of Mexico. John of JHunter Photography had the opportunity to photograph this destination wedding and shared some of his favorite photos with us!
Melanie is a photographer for JHunter Photography and school teacher. Kyle is in the Coast Guard.
“We met Melanie randomly at a coffee shop about a year before her wedding and talked about having her photograph weddings for us. After several months of shooting, she enjoyed how we operate and the resulting photos. So, she asked us to photograph her big day.” said John.
“Aside from creating black & white versions of select photos using Nik software, I used an effect on a few images making them look a bit like an old post card.” said John.
“Our style is generally photojournalistic, but we mix it up along the way by bringing up portrait ideas. Melanie & Kyle allocated time for a walk around Old Town for this and the result is a genuine collection of Key West wedding photos.” said John.
The wedding was held in the Hyatt’s Marquesa Room, “This wedding venue was selected for its’ magnificent view of the harbor through floor to ceiling windows and air conditioned comfort. This was a July wedding in the tropics and most of the guests were from Connecticut and New Mexico.” said John.
Photo Equipment Used: Nikon D600, SB910
