New York Wedding at The Carlyle by Chadwick Creative Arts

New York Wedding

A New York wedding with “Classical Elegance” captured by member Chadwick Creative Arts. We’re so excited to share these beautiful photos and details about Emily and Matts wedding:

The ceremony was held on October 20, 2012 at the beautiful, historical Riverside Church on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. A reception at the elegant Carlyle Hotel on the eastern end of Central Park followed.

While it was not officially a theme, one could easily say that “Classical Elegance” was the idea behind this wedding. The bride and her father were transported to the ceremony in a beautiful 1950’s Cadillac, the church was a classic and historical work of architectural art, and the reception was held in a very elegant and beautiful historic hotel, The Carlyle.

Emily and Matt wanted a mixture of candid and formal, so I treated the day with an elegant approach to match the couple and their wishes, combined with a photojournalist approach to telling the story of their day.

Photography Equipment used: Two Canon 5D Mark IIs with a variety of lenses. Most often I used a 70-200mm/2.8 telephoto and a 24-105mm/4 telephoto. Other lenses I sometimes used based on the situation included an 85mm/1.2 and a 35mm/1.4.

Chadwick Creative Arts provides a perfect balance of candid and formal wedding photography, capturing both the story and the joy of each and every wedding. Check out more of Michael’s photos on WPUSA profile and his website: www.michaelchadwickphotography.com.
