4 Tips to Pretty Feet for your Wedding Day

While most girls think of the dress, it’s important not to forget about the shoes. Ah, the shoes. Even if shoes don’t turn you on, or you’re a true shoe lover at heart and have already picked out your perfect pair of Louboutins, don’t skip over this topic. Here are four simple tips to remember for pretty feet for your wedding day, no matter what shoes you plan to wear.

Pretty Feet

Don’t shop on looks alone; make sure they are both pretty and comfortable. After all, any shoe, no matter how much it costs, can get mighty uncomfortable after 10 or 12 hours on your feet. And if you still can’t resist those fancy stilettos, just think of how those four inch heels are going to feel after standing and dancing in them for hours on end?

Try them on at the end of the day. When you’re shopping for wedding shoes, or any shoes really, try to shop at the end of the day. That’s because your feet swell over the course of the day, so you always want to shop when your feet are at their largest.

If you’re wearing hose, try them on with hose. If you’re going barefoot, try them on with bare feet. You want to simulate, as much as you can, how they are really going to feel on your foot. There’s no sense in trying them on with peds, if you’re not wearing hose and vice versa. They will feel totally different on your feet, so make sure you try them on the way you plan on wearing them.

Break them in BEFORE the big day. You don’t have to wear them out and about. But, do yourself a favor, and for at least one month before the wedding, wear your bridal shoes around the house for 20 minutes a day at least three days a week to help them conform to your feet. Your feet will thank you.
